It's been an amazing three days. My sister-in-law's birthday is this week, but we manage to celebrate it all weekend long. Her sister & kids came from Maryland to visit as well, which added to the festivities. Friday we spent the evening indoors at my brother's house. Video games, drinks & insane conversations are always the perfect way for us to start the weekend.

Saturday I spent the day with my mom & later at work, anxious for what the night had to bring. Later that night, we went to a small 'backyard' bar nearby. It had huge TV screens that played videos to the music the DJ spun. There were tables  for those that relaxed & other tables full of games, which we took full advantage of. Brick sized wood Jenga with random bets written all over them was our game for the night. At about 3 a.m. we headed out searching for food where I was introduced to Taqueria Ruby. A 24HR taco truck parked not too far from my house (apparently). Pictures can't even explain how delicious the food was.

Sunday arrived. After shopping with the girls & two handsome little ones, we went back to the taco truck. My body was craving it all day!! We went home to get bathing suits afterwards & headed to one of our friend's house. We enjoyed the rest of the evening eating, teaching the little ones to swim & sharing "why I can't swim" stories.

All in all, it was a perfect weekend. I'm so glad Houston is slowly growing on me.
