Captain K'Nuckles & Ruby Perle

Letting Go.
Letting Go.
Letting Go.

Meet Ruby & Captain K'nuckels (aka Cappy).

The newest & smallest members of our family. These two tiny Chipoos made it safely home last Friday evening. After a long dinner out & conversation with my parents while celebrating my new job, I had the sudden feeling that something was missing. I'm not used to being without a "significant other" (a long 12yrs) & not having children doesn't exactly help. But I wanted something, or a little someone, that was all mine to love & take care of. As my mum would say, "it's hitting you. You're at that age". LOL, thanks.

Nevertheless, we arrived home close to 10:00 p.m. & my immediate reaction was to search the web for a puppy. Mum was in my room OOHing & AAHing at all the puppies we found. She wanted all of them. I found an ad where someone was selling 6 Chipoos, eight weeks old. Not knowing what the heck a Chipoo was, I questioned Google. You know, the normal thing to do. She explained & my mum & I stared at each other. She whispered, "call her". So, I did. Nervous she might not have any left. She explains how she has a few left & we were welcome to come over & see them. Mum & I squealed like 5yr olds & tell her Mr. He was not as excited as we are. We gave our explanations & reasons as to why we must go immediately to get the puppies & after some convincing, we head out too excited to describe. When we arrived, the two puppies were waiting for us outside. Mum & I can't stop acting like children & we get on the floor to pick up these extremely tiny balls full of hair. After detailed instructions on what to do to keep the puppies healthy & their shots up to date, we leave with a small box & the two little ones.

Ruby is my mums. A white, too energetic for her size princess. Captain K'nuckles is the tan new little love of my life. He's a bit more still & to himself, like myself. But is always extremely happy to see me when I get home. He loves to sit on my lap & always cries for me to carry him. He doesn't eat as much as his sister & has the cutest black ears & tail. I love his puppy smell & how his little tongue kisses my nose. I wish he could stay a baby forever. He is just so perfect. Exactly what I needed & wanted.
