I'm not huge on Valentine's Day. But I'm a hopeless romantic. Which means, the mushy-ness, the sweet words, the hand written letters, the random gifts, the passionate love making & constant PDA runs year round. If I had to consider myself a film genre, I'd be a sad love foreign indie film. If only there was a way to film our own lives while living in it. Capture all the sweet amazing moments. Hold them forever. I believe in love more than anything in this world. It conquers it all. It breaks all rules. It destroys lives. Cures the soul. I'll always put love first, despite of how tragic sometimes it can be. Chocolate, flowers & teddy bears will never amount to what being held, passionately kissed & feeling completely in love feels like.
Every year the question to me is, 'What would you like to do on Valentine's Day?". My answer is simple. Stay home. Run a bubble bath. Make pizza. Drink lots of wine. Watch movies (& make love) the entire evening. I love fancy dinners, dressing up & hitting the town. Just not when everyone seems forced to do so. So, a quiet cozy evening at home is my winning ticket.
When it comes to love films, my taste goes from one end to the other. Extremely mushy & meant to be to devastating & unpredictable. Here are some of my favorite love films, in no particular order. My love story is a mixture of most of these together, which makes these extremely special to me. From me to you, enjoy.
